Series A: scaling the Founderia platform
Founderia has closed a Series A round led by existing investors and a new institutional partner focused on infrastructure-scale systems. The investment will support scaling of platform infrastructure, expansion of access tiers, and hiring across engineering and design.
In the eighteen months since our seed round, we've learned that the demand for persistent worlds is real. We've gone from a small closed beta to thousands of concurrent players. The world is holding. Relationships are deepening. Stories are being told that span months and seasons.
But we've also hit the ceiling of what our current infrastructure can handle. We need bigger databases. We need better simulation servers. We need to rethink some of our systems from the ground up to handle the scale we're seeing. This round lets us do that.
We're also expanding what "Founderia" means. We're building mobile access so you can check on your world from anywhere. We're exploring console partnerships. We're designing a player-run economy with proper persistence—where gold doesn't disappear, where you actually own your gear. We're hiring economists, systems designers, and infrastructure engineers who believe in this vision.
Most importantly: we're still here. We're not becoming a publicly traded company overnight. We're not suddenly optimizing for quarterly revenue. We're building what we said we'd build, and now we have the resources to do it right.
