Community census 2024
We don't publish exact numbers. We publish trends. Growth, retention, and the regions people spend time in. A snapshot of the world as it is.
We use telemetry to understand the world—where people go, how long they stay, how retention looks across regions and cohorts. That data feeds into everything from capacity planning to matchmaking and placement. You can't improve placement without connecting policy decisions to outcomes. We're building that feedback loop. At the same time, we're aware of the risk: the same systems that can tune for fairness can be tuned for manipulation. We're publishing trends, not raw numbers, and we're committed to using this data to serve the participant, not to stratify the world into high-value and low-value lobbies by device, region, or reputation.
What we're seeing
Growth. Retention that improves when people find their cohort. Regions that have become social hubs versus regions that are still frontier. We're not naming names or posting dashboards. We're saying: the world is alive, the census is one way we listen, and we'll keep sharing trends in a way that respects both transparency and privacy. A snapshot of the world as it is.
