Devlog #40: Preparing for the next step

2024-10-17 · From the vault

We're preparing for something we can't fully talk about yet. Infrastructure, tooling, and the kind of work that happens before an announcement. Stay tuned.

Some work is visible—new regions, performance fixes, community features. Some work is invisible until it lands: identity and security that can scale for the next decade, interoperability so the world can talk to other systems and standards, and the kind of crypto-agile design that lets us upgrade without breaking the ecosystem. We're building for a world that might need to survive threat models we don't have yet. That sounds paranoid. We think it's responsible.

Why we're not saying more

Because it's not a feature. It's foundation. When we have something to announce—a new way to reach the world, a new layer of the stack, a partnership that changes how we operate—we'll say it. Until then, we're heads down. Infrastructure, tooling, and the kind of work that happens before the announcement. Stay tuned.
